Centro do Clima Presents Strategy and Local Action at Agência para o Clima

At the beginning of February, the Centro do Clima visited the Agência para o Clima, where its Executive Director presented the vision that underpins the creation of the Centre, its ongoing strategy, and the main projects currently being developed at the local level.

The meeting provided an opportunity to showcase the work already being carried out in the territory and to highlight its relevance within the broader framework of climate policies. The Centre’s approach stems from the strategic vision of the Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim for local climate action, developed and consolidated in partnership with BIOPOLIS-CIBIO and the Parish Council of Rates, the founding partners of the initiative.

Centro do Clima has been establishing itself as a platform that connects scientific knowledge, local action and the municipality’s climate strategy, translating this vision into concrete responses on the ground.

The meeting marked an important moment to present, at national level, the work being developed from the local context of Póvoa de Varzim.
