On 28th of October 2025, Prof. Cláudia Fernandes presented RISE-IN during the Conference titled Businesses and Nature: An Essential Relationship: Conference on Corporate Best Practices for Biodiversity Conservation. Prof. Fernandes gave a speech titled "Businesses for Water and Nature: Why Act Now?”.
The conference “Businesses and Nature: An Essential Relationship” brings together companies and business associations to explore the vital role of the corporate sector in preserving natural ecosystems and biodiversity. It highlights best practices already in place and emphasises the importance of integrating nature into business strategies as a source of resilience, innovation, and sustainability. By engaging companies with both direct and indirect impacts on the environment, the event aims to foster awareness, reflection, and concrete action toward a stronger, more responsible relationship between business and nature.
