The RISE-IN project has been featured in a recent news article by The Press in New Zealand, drawing attention to its ongoing work within the Ōtākaro–Avon River Corridor, a 600-hectare red zone in east Christchurch. The coverage highlights the project’s activities in this significant area, which continues to be a focal point for research, restoration, and long-term planning following extensive land-use changes. The article includes insights from David Little, Christchurch City Council’s Red Zone Manager, and Brett Robinson, Professor of Environmental Chemistry at the University of Canterbury. Both provided valuable perspectives on the land, its current problems, and its future potential. The increased visibility of the project is seen as an encouraging development as work in the corridor progresses.
