RISE-IN is participating in the European Urban Resilience Forum 2026 (EURESFO 2026), taking place from 17–19 June in Guimarães, Portugal. The project was represented by Alessandro de Carli (Ambiente Italia) and Ana Medeiros (Biopolis), who took part in several sessions focused on innovative approaches to climate adaptation and urban resilience. During the forum, they shared insights from the RISE-IN project, highlighting its Bankability Readiness Level (BRL) approach for climate resilience solutions. This methodology supports cities and regions in assessing and strengthening the investment readiness of resilience projects, helping to bridge the gap between innovative solutions and their implementation.

Recognised as Europe's leading urban resilience forum, EURESFO 2026 brings together cities, regions, policymakers, and researchers to exchange solutions and accelerate climate action. This year's event is hosted in Guimarães, the European Green Capital for 2026. The forum convenes city representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions with the shared objective of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions related to climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and urban resilience.

The 2026 edition focuses on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation. Inspired by Guimarães' long-standing commitment to embedding sustainability into its cultural fabric, the programme highlights the leadership and innovation of small and medium-sized cities. Discussions explore how these cities can enable bottom-up strategies and contribute valuable lessons for climate resilience efforts worldwide through their close connection to citizens.

As part of the event, RISE-IN is represented at the EURESFO Marketplace alongside Pathways2Resilience, Blossom Project, CLIMINVEST Project, and NetZeroCitiesEU. Together, the projects are showcasing how EU Mission initiatives are advancing climate resilience and supporting the scaling of adaptation finance across European regions.

Visitors to the Marketplace are invited to meet the project teams and learn more about their work in strengthening climate resilience across Europe.
